Organization conventions

Naming conventions

High-level organization of the guide:

  • Top-level grouping of the site โ†’ part
  • Second-level grouping under a part โ†’ chapter
  • A single page โ†’ page

Within a page:

  • Level-1 heading โ†’ section (sometimes numbered, e.g., ยง1, ยง2, ...)
  • Level-2 heading โ†’ subsection
  • Level-3 heading โ†’ subsubsection

Content conventions

Semantics

  • A bold, italic, underlined phrase indicates a term to be defined (either in the text or in a dedicated math block).

  • A bold phrase or sentence denotes something important, such as a key concept, a summary of the paragraph, or a conclusion.

Citations and Bibliography

This site uses the (Author, Year) style for in-text citations and follows APSA for bibliography.
